

Founded in 2005, Piermont Capital Management is an independent, SEC-registered investment adviser. Piermont provides asset management services for institutional investors, including: Public, Corporate and Taft-Hartley Pension Funds, Endowments, Foundations and Insurance Companies. Prior to founding Piermont, the portfolio management team gained valuable experience as institutional investment consultants. That experience reinforced the importance of risk controls, style adherence, and performance consistency.
Piermont’s investment team is led by John Albert and Kevin Finn.
John is a founding member of Piermont and a member of Piermont's Investment Committee. He brings 14 years of investment experience to the firm, including: Consultant with U.S. Institutional Corp. and Asset Consulting Group, Portfolio Credit Manager with SLP Capital, LLC and Senior Consultant in the Financial Valuation Group at Arthur Andersen LLP in Chicago. John earned a BA in Accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. John has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the St. Louis Society of Financial Analysts and the CFA Institute. In addition, John has passed the Certified Public Accountancy exam and the NASD Series 3 exam.
Kevin is a founding member of Piermont and a member of Piermont's Investment Committee. Kevin has 13 years of investment experience including extensive experience in developing computer models and simulations. His investment positions include: Director of Research for U.S. Institutional Corp., Senior Research Analyst with Asset Consulting Group, and Analyst at Conning Asset Management. Kevin holds a BSBA from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Kevin has earned the Charted Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the St. Louis Society of Financial Analysts and the CFA Institute. Kevin has also completed the Executive Education Portfolio Management Program at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, which focused on quantitative strategies in U.S. equities.
